WPC: Shadowed

rather a

but let’s give it a shot—

Screen Shot 2015-01-11 at 10.02.58dapples. I love ’em. Light triumphs over darkness and dapples trump the eye.

shadows enhanced (sort of) with a matt effect. Taken from within the shadows … I hope it’s still legal? (That wee dot in the distance is The Spouse, striding off towards Windsor and leaving me to chase shadows.)

So if we have shadows taking up a wee bit of space in  the lit, how about the inverse: blobs of light taking up space in the greater shadow—?

Screen Shot 2015-01-10 at 15.36.20(And I’m not sure if the blue bit is leaves, petals, or bubblegum. Didn’t see it at the time so I guess it shall forever remain one of life’s unanswered little mysteries.)

Screen Shot 2015-01-10 at 15.44.06No — I’m not milking it: look at the bottom left-hand corner, see the blob with the wee inclusion? All the other blobs are in the bright—but that one is shadowed. Still legal …

Screen Shot 2015-01-11 at 10.35.49let’s go out in a blaze of glory, let’s go out where we caaaaame innnnn (bugger, I’ve forgotten the rest of it) (if that was ever part of it) and we’ll get on with the show—heck, I’ll look it up:

Let’s go out in a blaze of glory
All good things must end
Like two heroes in a story
Let’s go out like we came in …

Screen Shot 2015-01-10 at 16.07.20

—and note: those two southern damsels are standing in the shadows. Not. But I certainly was; just love them dapples …

    1. Thanks Kurt. You gave me an idea, I’m going to specialise in droplets/macro for the next week or so, see if I can come up with something. 🙂

  1. It’s been a while since I’ve spoken Latin, different lifetime…

I like your first dapple shot, I have a similar one I’m going to have to dig out and post I think, just because it seems great minds do often think alike. Also I might address this week’s challenge: serenity, as I missed the shadows of last week’s.

    1. Hah! Possibly beat you to it … posted an hour or so back.
Looking forward to yours; as you say ‘Great minds …’ (and mine). 🙂

      1. I see you fished me out. Just didn’t see your comment. Time and continuity are odd concepts in the WP blogging world. Never quite linear, perhaps more true to how it is…? Anyone trying to read any of these comments in a linear fashion would get terribly confused, I’m sure, as do I from time to time. Just can’t keep up sometimes!
Lunch and bacon sandwiches beckon, don’t wait up…
