Would you believe
I HAVE NO IDEA
what I did to the camera, to get this vibrant (but just a wee bit unreal) image of the Winton ancestral chapel. The Spouse was in the Op shoppe looking for bargains (behind me as I took the snap) and I was outside looking for targets of opportunity.
I put it down to pure serendipity—
—which often beats no end of tweaking, fiddling, playing about and/or otherwise trying for that one all-singing all-dancing vibrant colour pic.
THIS NEXT
of course has been tweaked. I just cannot get a good shot of a hollyhock—
—so I play around with what I do get.
A purist may well ‘Tut~!’ here, but I ain’t not no purist … thank heavens. Pure can often be a bit boring …
…. SOMETIMES …
.
Did you have the polarising filter on?
That little church really pops! I love the hollyhock too. Tweaking is just part of the art.
Yes to filter, but there’s other effects in there that I didn’t plan. I must’ve twiddled something, and have no idea how to get it again. Possibly one of the ‘art’ filters …
Could it have been set on Vivid or somethings like that? It’s a great effect.
Now there’s a thought. I’ll have a wee dabble later, and get back to you in a post … 🙂
Looking forward to it! 🙂
You definitely got vibrant! 🙂 Tweak away. Besides, as soon as a purist puts a filter on his or her camera, it’s tweaking. –Curt
I lost my UV filter which was serving as a permanently mounted protector for the lens itself. So I leave the polariser on (costs a stop or two, though) until the replacement on-a-string lens cap arrives.
Wow! What fireworks of color. They’ve cheered up my rainy February day no end. Thanks!
Glad to be of service, Ma’am! I just wish I can get the hang of this camera (had it over a year—old dog, new tricks …)
